New York work comp classification manual
The governing authority for workers comp classifications in the state of NY is the New York Compensation Insurance Rating Board. You can view the NYCIRB rate classification manual in PDF format at: nycirblib.org/manuals.pdf
New York WC classification authorities
The state of New York is an “independent” insurance state, as opposed to a “monopolistic” or “NCCI” state. While they do not rely on the National Council of Compensation Insurance (NCCI) for all regulatory responsibilities, they do rely on them for workers compensation classifications. If you cannot find the code you are looking for on this list, try looking at our list of NCCI codes.
